Thanks to Ronaldo, the whole world will see me, Newcastle star looks forward to Old Trafford game

Speedster Allan Saint-Maximin can’t wait for this weekend’s game at Old Trafford, which, thanks largely to the return of Cristiano Ronaldo, will have significantly higher ratings than it would without him. This will of course spur the players on to better performances and therefore a very interesting spectacle can be expected from Saturday’s fixture.

Newcastle, however, have not been doing too well so far, having taken just a point from 3 league games. Traditionally a prominent figure in coach Steve Bruce’s team is the 24-year-old fast winger, who has scored one goal and an assist.

It is Saint-Maximin who is without doubt the most exciting player that Newcastle currently have on offer and to show up in such a high-profile game is certainly a great chance for him to impress the big clubs.

“Even though it’s Manchester United, they are not unbeatable. Even before they signed Ronaldo they were a great team and were winning games. But now with Ronaldo they look even stronger,” the French winger is aware of the strength of Saturday’s opponents.

“I will try to do my best because I’m sure the whole world will be watching this match because of Ronaldo!” There is no choice but to agree with Saint-Maximin.

This year’s reinforcements have certainly boosted Manchester United’s chances of winning the Premier League. However, the play that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has put on for the players has not yet been indicative of that.

The Norwegian coach is often accused of poor tactics as the Red Devils at times look like they don’t know what to play. The game against Southampton is a great example, in which the away side could do virtually nothing. And when they did work their way into a chance, it was all thrown away by Anthony Martial.

Even in the last league game against Wolves, we can’t talk about any great performance. A squad as good as Manchester United’s should be much more dominant, something that even Saint-Maximin realises.

“It will be a very difficult game. But we need to win our first game and even if we play against Manchester United, if everyone gives their best, we can win,” he concluded in an interview with the club’s TV channel.

Saturday’s game kicks off at 16:00, as do the five other matches, the most interesting of which will undoubtedly be Leicester’s clash with Manchester City.
