A historic moment is coming! For the first time since his arrival in Paris, Lionel Messi is nominated for a PSG match. He could therefore make his big debut on Sunday night.
It’s been almost 20 days since Lionel Messi was unveiled as the new signing for French side PSG. However, he hasn’t featured in any matchday squad so far. Until now.
PSG take on Reims on Sunday night and will try to build on their three wins from the first three league rounds. The aforementioned Messi is on the roster for the game for the first time, but Kylian Mbappé and Neymar are not missing either.
It is not clear whether the Argentine will play at all. However, the French media is counting on him starting from the opening whistle. He should therefore be in the starting line-up of the visiting team.
In any case, it is not too much to expect Messi to play the whole game. After winning the Copa América winner’s trophy, he hasn’t trained much until today and can’t be expected to handle a 90-minute workload immediately.
In any case, this will be a special and unique moment for PSG and the whole of Ligue 1. Everyone wants to see how one of the best footballers in history will fare away from Barcelona.
