Bellator gives their fighters almost 45% of their earnings, the UFC only 16%!

MMA’s most famous organization is constantly criticized. According to its critics, the UFC underpays its fighters, who have to pay for part of their training out of their own pocket, and many of them certainly don’t live up to the high standards.

The payouts of UFC fighters is a topic that has resonated across the MMA community for quite some time. In fact, Dana White doesn’t pay his fighters very well.

Only a small percentage of the UFC’s revenue goes towards payouts, something that even former veteran referee John McCarthy has criticized, sharing those very percentages on his Twitter account.

In fact, the UFC only pays out 16% of revenue to fighters, compared to Bellator’s 44.7%. MLB, baseball’s top league, is the best, giving 54% to its athletes.

The NBA and NFL are similarly well off. The UFC, therefore, comes out of this review as the worst performer and it is a wonder that it continues to try to keep its numbers so low.

Many fighters are now asking for bigger purses, with many having already quit the organization. White, however, is of a different opinion and isn’t looking to change that.

“Since I started owning this company, fighter salaries have increased every year. It’s clear that there will never be a fighter who comes in and says the UFC pays him too much. Anyone who becomes champion shares the pay-per-view (PPV) revenue. That’s the pay policy. If you don’t like it, start your own MMA organization and pay them what they want you to pay them. That’s just the way we do it,” he said.
