Playing in the Premier League was my dream, says Kucka after transfer to Watford

Juraj Kucka has already had a rich career, but something was missing – a stint in the Premier League. And the Slovak midfielder will now tick off that item as well.
He last played for Parma in Italy, before which he tried out AC Milan, Genoa, Trabzonspor and Sparta Prague. He has also been a mainstay of the Slovak national team for a long time. And now he wants to put his experience to good use in the Premier League.
“I am very happy because playing in the Premier League was my dream. I’m really excited and I’m ready to fight for Watford. I will always give my best on the pitch, I will always fight for my teammates,” the Slovakian midfielder told the club’s website.
“I played in Italy for a long time, I also play regularly for the national team. I have a lot of experience and I will try to use it in the best possible way to help my new teammates,” Kucka continued.
” I know Francisco, we played together in Parma. Before the transfer, I also talked to Gianni Munari, who was also at Watford.”
Kuck’s natural position is in the centre of midfield, but at Parma he tried more positions, even playing in attack. “I don’t care so much about the position, during my career I played in midfield, defence and even in attack. In Parma I changed it often. Wherever the coach puts me, I will try to do my best.”
“Kuco”, as the Slovakian international is nicknamed, has only played in the friendly against Crystal Palace, which Watford lost 1:3. The club’s latest signing will have the chance to make his competitive debut on Saturday when the Hornets open the league season at home to Aston Villa.
