Unbelievable! Russian MMA fighter received a KO, yet was able to celebrate his win
A really interesting match took place during the M1 Global tournament. The Russian fighter in blue shorts was kneeling the whole match and many didn’t understand why. But by the end of the match, everyone understood. It was an interesting tactic that worked.
A really interesting match took place during the M1 Global tournament. The Russian fighter in blue shorts was kneeling the whole match and many didn’t understand why. But by the end of the match, everyone understood. It was an interesting tactic that worked.
For three rounds, the Russian fighter in the blue shorts waited on his knees to force his opponent to kick him in the head. However, this is forbidden when an opponent is kneeling.
However, his opponent couldn’t hold his nerve, kicked him and landed a KO. Still, it was the strategist in the blue shorts who was happy with the win.
After the match, even the moderator praised him, who admitted that at first he did not understand his tactics. But the fans were not happy.
They certainly did not imagine such a match and booed the winner. He then explained his tactics in a subsequent interview.
“We used the rules and tricked him. He got the shot, I won. It’s an undisputed victory,” he said to the crowd.
Something like this doesn’t happen much, yet we saw it fairly recently in the UFC when Peter Yan was disqualified after an illegal knee kick in his fight with Aljamain Sterling.
