Mladá Boleslav goes to Vyšehrad, Teplice to Benešov, Baník to Hlučín. Check out the Mol Cup draw
The second round of the Mol Cup will feature all the league teams except the top six. We won’t see Slavia, Sparta, Jablonec, Plzen and Slovácko in action, but there will still be interesting duels.
The second round of the Mol Cup will feature all the league teams except the top six. We won’t see Slavia, Sparta, Jablonec, Plzen and Slovácko in action, but there will still be interesting duels.
Perhaps the most attractive match is Vyšehrad – Mladá Boleslav. The Prague team, infamous for a corruption case, was relegated to the CFL after last season and will play Mladá Boleslav, who have fielded a relatively strong team this year.
Teplice will play their game in Benesov, Bohemians in Sokolov. Baník will play in Hlučín, Sigma Olomouc will travel to Uničov.
The winner of the Mol Cup will play in the preliminary round of the European Cups. Thanks to the fact that Slavia won last year’s edition and secured the cup from the league, Viktoria Plzeň also made it to the preliminary round from fifth place.
However, sometimes we can expect surprises, like in 2017 when Zlín dominated the cup, defeating second league Opava in the final. Thanks to a good coefficient, Ševci then went straight into the Europa League’s preliminary group, and since then all teams have started to take the Cup much more seriously.
