Kurt Zouma is no longer in Thomas Tuchel’s plans for the new season and is thus on his way out of Chelsea. The French stopper’s replacement should be his compatriot Jules Koundé.
The 22-year-old stopper played the last two seasons at Sevilla, where he managed to appear in 89 competitive matches.
Chelsea have agreed personal terms with the French stopper and a contract until 2026 is in place. That leaves Sevilla to agree.
According to speculations, Jules Koundé has rejected an offer from Tottenham as he would like to play the Champions League, which Chelsea won last season.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reported on his Twitter account that the aforementioned Kurt Zouma will be included in the transfer. Thus, it is expected that both players will be exchanged with the London club having to add a certain amount.
Manchester City was also interested in Kounde in the last transfer window, but the transfer was dropped and the Citizens brought Nathan Ake.
