Slovácko will play a rematch of the second round of the Conference League against Lokomotiv Plovdiv on Thursday and Martin Svedik’s men must make up for the one-goal loss from the first game.
The opening game in Plovdiv was decided by a single goal by Vitanov in the last minute of regulation time. Sadilek could have tied the game, but he missed the ball perfectly and goalkeeper Pirgov was able to deal with it.
Slovácko played in Liberec before the rematch and managed to win the game 1:0, even though they had to play more than 20 minutes shorthanded without the suspended Cicillo. Lokomotiv, on the other hand, could not keep up with the champions Ludogorets and lost 3:1.
The 32-year-old international was Lokomotiv’s top scorer last season, scoring 14 goals in the Bulgarian league. And he didn’t forget to score over the summer break either, scoring his team’s only goal against Ludogorets.
The team from Uherské Hradiště needs to score at least two goals to advance, but after the departure of Jan Kliment, Slovácko is looking for their number one striker. Currently, Jurecka and Cicilia are alternating on the spine and are dangerous for the opponent’s defence.
Slovácko has other scorers in the squad, such as Daníček, Sadílek or Petržela, who decided the last match in Liberec.
The composition of both teams remained almost identical to last season, which was better than expected, so they can rely mainly on the team chemistry.
Slovácko can look forward to a great home atmosphere, which will propel the team towards promotion.
Compared to Lokomotiv, they also have Milan Petržela and Michal Kadlec in their squad, who will be important leaders in the starting eleven thanks to their rich experience from European cups and national team matches.
That is why I recommend to bet on Slovácko’s progress with very interesting odds of 2.3.
