Barcelona has been dealing with a lot of problems in recent months. The club has been in financial ruins season after season and has had to sell star players to pay for existing ones.
Barcelona is in financial ruins! Its players are on such high salaries that it cannot register new players at the moment.
Sergio Agüero, Memphis Depay, Eric García and Emerson Royal have joined the Catalan club, but none of them are registered with the club yet.
Why? The reason is precisely because of the high wages of the current players and Barcelona would be in breach of La Liga’s conditions if they were to register.
And even the club’s biggest star, without whom almost nobody can imagine Barcelona, Lionel Messi, does not have a new contract yet.
How to get out of this mess? The only option is to sell the players. It is expected that one of the stars who receives big money will leave the club.
So there is talk of Griezmann, Umtiti or Dembélé. And it is clear why Wijnaldum, who will eventually join PSG, has not joined the club.
According to analysts from UtdArena, for example, Griezmann receives 881,423 euros per week, which is almost 23 million crowns.
Umtiti and Dembélé both earn 6 million crowns a week. So the departure of the French forward would be a great relief to the budget.
