He came, he saw, he saved! Dusan Uhrin Jr., who already has a lot of experience in Romanian football, is leaving Dinamo Bucharest after only three months. The club is reportedly in a lot of financial trouble, so he left on his own initiative.
The experienced pilot took over as Dinamo Bucharest’s head coach before the start of the retention group. The traditional club was in real danger of relegation! After the regular season, Dinamo were in a horrific 14th place out of a 16-team competition.
In the retention group, the former Slavia coach’s charges played 9 matches. The start did not go too well for the Czech strategist, first they drew and then lost two games in a row and things looked really bad with Dinamo.
But the traditional Romanian club literally came to life under the leadership of Uhrin. Dinamo subsequently made 5 wins in a row and ended the season with a draw.
In total, it was enough to save the team and “beautiful” 11th place. In a very short time, Dusan Uhrin Jr. became a hero of the moment for the fans.
Uhrin’s three-month league record was 5 wins, 2 draws and only 2 losses. When the information about the Czech coach’s disagreements with the management and his end at the club surfaced, the devoted fans of Dinamo Bucharest bid a proper farewell to the 53-year-old coach!
