Rich French club Paris Saint-Germain decided to take advantage of the uncertain situation surrounding Lionel Messi and sent him a generous offer. Will the Argentine magician accept it?
Rich French club Paris Saint-Germain decided to take advantage of the uncertain situation surrounding Lionel Messi and sent him a generous offer. Will the Argentine magician accept it?
Messi’s contract at Barcelona expired a few days ago, as the Catalan club still can’t find a solution to employ the Argentine striker and not break the rules of financial fair-play because of it.
Although the long-time Barcelona mainstay is patient and has let it be heard that he would like to stay in Barcelona, there have already been voices from the club that there will be no money for Messi.
So it is quite logical that other clubs have started to get their hopes up. And the rich PSG will of course attack one of the best strikers in the world from the front line.
The offer is reportedly very generous, but the specific wording is not known. And it probably won’t be known until Messi and his team finish the Copa America tournament.
There, the diminutive striker has already notched up 4 assists and 4 goals, helping Argentina reach the semi-finals. That will be played on Wednesday morning.
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain have announced a renewed assault on the French league title and, of course, the Champions League, which continues to elude the team from the Parc des Princes.
In a bid to strengthen the team, PSG has also offered a contract to former Real Madrid stopper Sergio Ramos, for example. Will he and Messi find common ground in Paris?
