Attila Végh is indulging in a long fight break, but that should end in December at the latest. In an interview with Kaocko.cz, the Slovak fighter admitted that he has two fights planned.
However, not under the rules of MMA and the Oktagon organization, but in boxing. First, he should be in the ring on December 26, but he also plans one fight with Emanuel Newton.
What’s special about the fight with Newton? Végh fought him twice in Bellator, once winning, once losing. Both became champions. Their third fight, but their first in boxing, should happen early in the new year.
And how does it look with the fight in the Octagon? Végh says he’s still waiting for an offer: “I still haven’t received it. I haven’t finalized a fight yet. I guess they know which fight it is (the rematch with Karlos Vemola), but I haven’t got any offer yet, I’m waiting for it.”
His terms are clear. While his dream now is to try a fight in boxing, he has virtually no motivation in MMA. “I don’t have any dreams in MMA that I want to achieve. I don’t want to prove anything in life, I’ve done enough. But if an interesting financial offer comes, I won’t refuse it. We all live on money,”Végh says.
He says he has not yet discussed the amount with the Oktagon organization. So it’s still a mystery when and if the rematch with Vémolá will even take place.
