A fairy tale comeback? Buffon isn’t quitting, he’ll be at the club that raised him
The legendary Gianluigi Buffon has decided on his future and is not going to hang up his gloves just yet. On the contrary. A return to the places where he was brought up for great football awaits him.
The legendary Gianluigi Buffon has decided on his future and is not going to hang up his gloves just yet. On the contrary. A return to the places where he was brought up for great football awaits him.
Gianluigi Buffon has confirmed that he is not going to end his career just yet and will continue playing. He is very likely to make a fabulous comeback.
According to well-known journalist Fabrizio Romano, the 43-year-old world football legend will sign for two years with Italian side Parma.
It was at Parma that Buffon was brought up for big football before he was bought by Juventus for a whopping €53 million in 2000.
Parma, however, finished hopelessly last in the recently concluded Serie A season, scoring just 20 points in 38 matches and trailing the relegation places by an abysmal 17 points.
So the goal is clear. Buffon will try to fight with his parent club to return to the elite and keep them in the top flight next season.
It won’t be easy, but it could be an even better story!
