Portugal vs. Germany: Preview and betting tips
The most interesting match on Saturday’s European Football Championship programme should be the duel between Portugal and Germany. Who will enjoy the victory and come closer to progressing from the group stage?

Portugal entered the European championship with a 3-0 win over Hungary. However, coach Fernando Santos’ side struggled for much of the match, scoring the opening goal in the 84th minute.
Cristiano Ronaldo was of course Portugal’s biggest star, scoring two goals against Hungary. However, Bernardo Silva, Bruno Fernandes and Ruben Dias are also among the team’s mainstays.
Germany, on the other hand, lost their first match at the European Championships to France 1-0. The match was decided in the 20th minute when stopper Mats Hummels knocked the ball into his own net. Joachim Löw’s charges could not find an answer to this moment.
However, the 60-year-old coach has a very strong squad, including Leroy Sane, Kai Havertz, Toni Kroos and Manuel Neuer. It would therefore be a big surprise if this team were to finish in the group stage.
So what to bet on? This will be a very important game in the fight to qualify for the knockout stages. If Germany were to fail to win the match, they would probably be eliminated in the group stage.
Therefore, I expect a cautious match in which neither team will want to make any unnecessary mistakes. On the other hand, a draw should be enough for the Portuguese, so the odds are 1.83 that we will see a maximum of two goals.
