An inconvenience for the Walk! Champion Blachowicz demands that he actually deserves a title fight
Jiri Prochazka has only had two fights in the UFC, but he’s won twice, won the fight of the night bonus twice, and scored KOs in style twice. So, rightfully so, there has been talk that he could be the next title challenger. But champion Jan Blachowicz is starting to set his terms.
Jiri Prochazka has only had two fights in the UFC, but he’s won twice, won the fight of the night bonus twice, and scored KOs in style twice. So, rightfully so, there has been talk that he could be the next title challenger. But champion Jan Blachowicz is starting to set his terms, or one in particular.
An inconvenience for Jiri Prochazka? Quite possibly. His fight with Jan Blachowicz became the talk of the town right after he beat Dominick Reyes.
But the Polish UFC champion has a title fight with Glover Teixeira. However, it is generally expected that he will defend the belt and his next opponent was supposed to be the Moravian native, according to various servers.
Blachowicz is looking forward to the fight with Prochazka, but he has one condition. A very specific one. He demands that “Denisa” has one more fight.
“I believe that I can handle Teixeira and successfully defend the title for the second time. And who knows, maybe I’ll actually fight Prochazka. But I think it would be good if the UFC arranged a fight between Prochazka and Rakic, so that we can get to know the real challenger,” the Polish fighter was interviewed by James Lynch.
The question is whether the UFC management has the same opinion. However, if they do, a title fight may be a little further away for Prochazka. However, it should be mentioned that Prochazka already wanted to fight Rakic, but Rakic refused the fight.
But the truth is that it would at least avoid controversy. Both Rakic and Procházka have good results under their belts, and while Rakic was first supposed to be the understudy for the Blachowicz vs. Teixeira fight, it is now being discussed that it will be Procházka.
This only adds to the controversy and controversy that, as mentioned, a mutual fight would have avoided. This is what Blachowicz also wants, so you can’t blame him for his wish.
