I would like to forget about Italy, it will be better against Albania, believes Šilhavý. Who will be number one?

After the debacle in Italy, the Czech national team will have a dress rehearsal for the European Championships on Tuesday, which will start on Friday. What did coach Jaroslav Šilhavý say at the press conference?
The Czech Republic suffered a 4:0 debacle in Italy and coach Jaroslav Šilhavý certainly had no reason to be satisfied. On the contrary. Moreover, Ondřej Čelůstka was injured during the match, while Tomáš Kalas and Adam Hložek were missing due to injuries.
However, at Monday’s press conference Šilhavy revealed that all three of them are available for Tuesday’s friendly against Albania.
“The match against Italy was a bad match with a bad result. We were pulling the short end of the stick and if we could, we would have erased the match and started again. You could see in the Italians how tuned up and better prepared they are than us,” the national coach assessed the last match.
Šilhavy believes that the players understood his assessment of the match and that such a slap will only help them in a good way. He then plans to make four changes for the match against Albania, with six changes expected during the match. He still wants to see as many players as possible.
“We believe we will improve against Albania and we want to give a much better performance and result. Albania is a very good team, it is not right to underestimate them. We want to present ourselves in a much better light,” Šilhavy said.
He said the match against Albania could be similar to the one against Scotland. “We need to improve our high pressing, which has made us dangerous in the past against teams like England and Belgium. We played it badly in Italy, kind of half-heartedly. I believe we will be much better,” continued the former coach of Slavia Prague.
Tomáš Vaclík will play against Albania. However, Šilhavý has not revealed the number one for the Euro yet. He said that we have to wait for the opening match against Scotland.
The clash with Albania will take place on Tuesday at Letná at 20:15.
