The first shot attempt came in the seventh minute when Jan Boril’s shot from a volley was blocked by the Italian defence. Then Squadra Azzurra started to threaten, but were very inaccurate in their finishing.
In the 22nd minute, the Italians celebrated, Ciro Immobile got to the ball in the whitewash and with the help of Ondrej Čelůstka’s run, he split the net.
Five minutes later the Lazio player could have struck a second time, but after a mistake by Čelůstka he missed the target. Then the game calmed down, until Lorenzo Insigne dribbled into the box in the 39th minute, but only sent the ball into the side netting.
Three minutes later, Jiri Pavlenka caught the ball out of the net for the second time. Nicola Barella’s shot was headed precisely to the back post by Bořil.
The Italians went into the cabins with a 2:0 lead, which corresponded to what was happening on the pitch.
After the change of sides, Lorenzo Insigne made his presence felt with a right-footed shot from outside the box that just missed the back post. The little winger did score. In the 67th minute, he shot past Pavlenko from the spot.
In the 74th minute it was a debacle. Domenico Berardi was all alone in the whitewash and easily outmuscled Pavlenka.
After that, the match was played out and Šilhavy’s team left with a 0:4 defeat.
