I’ll do anything for the treble! It’s the dream I came here for, says Erling Haaland. How does he evaluate his first season in England?

Erling Haaland is only in his first season in England, but he continues to do what he does best at Manchester City. He scores goal after goal and is an almost unstoppable weapon. In his first year at the Etihad Stadium, he can win the treble.

The blue part of Manchester dreams of something that only the red part has managed within the city so far. However, United can shatter City’s dreams as early as Saturday and defend their title as the only team in Manchester to win the treble.

That’s because the Red Devils and Citizens will face off in the FA Cup final on Saturday. Pep Guardiola’s charges have already won the league and still have the Champions League final against Inter Milan to play.

Moreover, Manchester United is not the only team from Manchester, but from the whole of England, that has done it. “It would be incredible to emulate that and make history,” Erling Haaland told the BBC ahead of the game against their city rivals.

The Citizens star also dreams of being the very missing piece of the puzzle that the team has so far lacked in their quest to win the Champions League for the first time in history: “We don’t have to hide that this is exactly why the club brought me in. It would mean everything to me and I will do everything in my power to make it happen. It’s my biggest dream, I hope that dreams come true.”

However, Manchester City’s main attacking weapon admits it won’t be easy as he will be facing two tough opponents. Moreover, after an already difficult season during which they had to chase Arsenal all the time within the league.

Haaland has netted 52 competitive goals this season, was awarded as the Premier League’s best player and the best young player of the season. He is now a true global star, but he is not complaining about that, although in his own words, he can’t live as normally anymore.

He tries to enjoy life. But he is working hard to improve his career. And he’s succeeding in England.

“I’ve improved a lot, but it can still be better, whether it’s headers, midfield, playing with both feet, everything. But I’ve developed in a really good direction and that’s important for me. I’m still young, I’m 22 years old, I have a long career ahead of me, I have to develop,” Haaland reports.
