Two players are expected to leave Juventus Torino after a disappointing season. Di Maria and Paredes are unlikely to play for the Old Lady

Full of problems. That’s how one could describe the season of a club whose victory in the Italian football competition was until recently the rule and which was one of the most serious candidates to win the Champions League. However, that time has passed and Juventus now face problems that are not too much related to what happens on the pitch.

Italy’s most successful club is facing allegations of falsifying the club’s accounts. It was docked 10 points on Monday for that misdemeanour, as a result of which the Old Lady dropped to seventh place outside the cup positions.

Juventus will very likely have to do without participation in the Champions League next season. However, two players of the current squad will most likely not be there. Leandro Paredes and Angel di Maria are expected to leave the club after the season.

Both these players are expected to leave Juventus in the summer transfer window. Twenty-eight-year-old Paredes is on loan at Juventus from PSG. However, he is not expected to continue at PSG, where he will move from Juventus in the summer.

Angel di Maria is a completely different case to Paredes. He joined Juventus before this season from the aforementioned PSG. However, unlike his Argentine teammate, he came to the Apennine Peninsula as a free agent, which he will become again after the season. Di Maria is not expected to be snapped up by a leading European club.

The Argentine world champion is already 35 years old and his best years are very likely behind him. There is currently no information on where the midfielder, who has played for Real Madrid or Manchester United, is expected to play next season.

Di Maria has played twenty-four league games for Juventus this season, scoring four goals and successfully assisting another four. Paredes has played one less league game than Di Maria and has scored only once.

The answer to the question of where both players will head after their time in Italy will be answered in the summer transfer window. At least for Paredes, however, there is still a chance that he could play in some prestigious European competition.

He is only 28 years old and has experience of top-level European football, which he gained mostly during his time at PSG, in whose jersey he spent five seasons.
