An incomprehensible goalie error or a hoax? Valencia scored an unprecedented goal, the goalkeeper’s reaction is telling. Look at the insane blunder
Thursday’s football programme offered, among other things, a clash between two teams from the second half of the Spanish top-flight table. Valencia, struggling for survival, welcomed Valladolid, who are not much better off. The duel offered several blunders, especially the one by the visiting goalkeeper, but it is not something we see every day.

Valencia as a traditional Spanish first division club? It has a lot of work to do to keep the first league. A long-time criticised owner is leading the club to ruin and this season relegation is not entirely far from reality.
In fact, before the 31st round of the league, they were in relegation position 18th in the Spanish league, a form not fit for salvation, however, Valladolid arrived at Mestalla only five points better off before the game.
And this is a match between two teams from the second half of the table? Unfortunately, that was evident from the looks of it. Valencia fans were certainly not happy after the first half when Cyle Larin scored after a foul by Mouctar Diakhaby.
However, Diakhaby didn’t make any sort of blunder, which we don’t see in football at all. It was the opposing goalkeeper, on the other hand, who made an unprecedented fumble in the second half, and it was Diakhaby who helped.
Valencia played a standard situation. Andre Almeida sent the ball straight at the head of the home team’s defender and he finished. Jordi Masip in goal, however, thought the ball would go wide of the three posts.
But he miscalculated, as the shot ended up going wide of the bar and the Spanish goalkeeper didn’t understand what was happening. He controlled the ball, escorted it into the net and suddenly it was level at 1-1.
Fans immediately began to discuss the situation on social media. At one point, there was even an opinion that the goalkeeper could only commit a similar mistake if he tried to deliberately influence the outcome of the match.
To make matters worse, Valencia then added a goal in stoppage time to make it 2-1. Twenty-year-old midfielder Javier Guerra Moreno turned the score around and earned the important three points.
