PSG will not win the Champions League again. One of the richest teams in the world, despite a star-studded attack, is still struggling with the composition of its squad, and a change of personnel is possible. The team may even end up with some indispensable players.
For many months now, Lionel Messi’s contract extension has been discussed and according to the Mirror website, the French club and the famous Argentine will part ways.
Barcelona is supposed to be a serious suitor, but the latter is still in financial difficulties and one of the best footballers in history would have to moderate his demands.
However, he might not be the only one of the attacking trio to leave Paris in the winter. There is interest in both Kylian Mbappé and Neymar, who do not seem to like the direction of their club.
Mbappé has signed a new two-year contract at PSG, with many not understanding how the club could grant one player such terms. However, if they wanted to keep him, they had to throw some of those euros at him.
Mbappé is not currently pushing for a transfer and PSG are certainly not in favour of him leaving, but they may well listen to possible offers for the player not to leave the following year for free.
After all, it already looked like that in the summer and many believed he would strengthen Real Madrid for free. And it is this royal club that is still supposed to be a perennial suitor.
What about Neymar? The Brazilian doesn’t stay healthy and spends a certain part of every season on the sickbed. Moreover, at thirty-one, he is not promising and puts a significant strain on the club’s budget.
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is probing the situation around the famous footballer and according to the latest information he is not alone from the Premier League. But everything will obviously depend on Messi.
If he leaves, the club may very well not be willing to let go of another player that many PSG fans are rooting for. But if both of them leave, there would finally be an opportunity for a healthy turnover of the squad, which is quite necessary.
