McGregor has been defended over doping allegations: You don’t get cured just by eating mangoes! I wouldn’t blame him for steroids, says Rogan
Conor McGregor is back in plain sight. But when will we see him in the cage? That’s a question no one knows the answer to. Only one thing is certain. The Irishman must be enrolled in the USADA anti-doping program for six months. But he has yet to do so, and so he’s facing various accusations. But he’s also gotten some advocacy.

The Irish superstar is coming back from injury and is making a lot of noise. Conor McGregor is trying to make sure he is everywhere and he is actually succeeding. And not just in connection with the UFC, though that’s understandably the primary topic being addressed.
The former two-time champion is looking to return to the cage later this year, only time is quickly running out to meet the necessary requirements. Meanwhile, the opponent is clear. It’s Michael Changler.
And what are the conditions? Being enrolled in USADA’s anti-doping program for six months and being tested. Until then, McGregor can’t fight in the UFC. Although he himself claimed otherwise, he said that USADA communicated with him, but the aforementioned anti-doping program rejected his words.
The Irishman pulled out of the anti-doping program after he badly broke his leg in a fight with Dustin Poirier in the summer of 2021. His move made sense. In fact, one of the UFC’s commentators, Joe Rogan, is now defending him as well.
McGregor has faced all sorts of accusations of using banned substances, but can anyone realistically blame him? At the very least, Rogan says he wouldn’t blame McGregor at all if he was using steroids.
“Let’s speculate. He’s checked out of USADA. I would have done that too if I were in his position as a professional athlete. You need help. You don’t heal from a broken leg by just eating mangoes and taking the clean stuff,” Rogan opined on his podcast.
“You need help, you consult a professional and they recommend taking peptides, for example. Just things that are banned when you’re in USADA. I hope Conor’s leg is okay. Some guys can never come back after injuries like that, they’re never the same afterwards,” he added.
