Pavard can only score beautiful goals! Check out the Frenchman’s luxurious shot on the crossbar

When Benjamin Pavard gets his hands on the ball, it’s often an exhibition goal. This time it was Ireland who were the victims of the French right-back, against whom he hit this sumptuous shot.

Group B of the European Championship qualifiers had two big favourites. The finalist of the last World Cup, France, and the quarter-finalist of the same tournament, the Netherlands.

And to make matters worse, Greece and Ireland will also be looking to qualify. Only Gibraltar is somewhat outnumbered in the group.

France confirmed its role as one of the best national teams of the present day by crushing the Netherlands 4-0 in the first match.

Didier Deschamps made a few changes for the second game against Ireland, for example Benjamin Pavard replaced Jules Kounde at right back. And it was a great move.

The star attack of Les Bleus, led by Mbappé, Giroud and Griezmann, couldn’t get going for 50 minutes until the Bayern Munich defender took the situation into his own hands.

In front of the Irish whitewash, Pavard picked up on the home team’s poor passing and fired without preparation. His exhibition shot hit the crossbar and went into the corner of the net.

Fans immediately remembered Pavard’s fantastic goal against Argentina at the 2018 World Cup. That time, he sent the ball into the goalpost with a backwards spinning volley.
