Nicolae Stanciu, former Sparta and Slavia player, scored a beautiful goal from a direct free kick from the edge of the box to start Romania’s victory in the qualifying match against Belarus.
Romanian footballer Nicolae Stanciu played in the Czech top league for a total of five seasons and left a truly remarkable mark.
He was brought to the Czech Republic by Sparta Prague, with whom he did not win any trophies.
The greatest successes of his career came after his shaky arrival on the other side of Prague. After spending six months at Al Ahli, Slavia reached out to him and brought him back to the Czech league.
In Slavia, he won the championship title twice and the domestic cup once. He then moved to China, where he plays for Wuhan Three Towns.
The newcomer in the top Chinese league immediately rejoiced in winning the championship trophy. The Romanian midfielder was a major contributor to the trophy, scoring ten goals.
Qualifying goal
The Romanian national football team entered the qualification with great success and after two matches they have all six points.
In addition, Stanciu scored a wonderful goal during yesterday’s clash with Belarus to steer his teammates to a winning end.
The Romanian midfielder used his excellent kicking technique and from a difficult angle, with the help of a less than confident goalkeeper, to score the opening goal of the match.
The Romanian footballers are second in the table behind Switzerland, who have a better record. In the group, they are joined by Kosovo, Andorra, Israel and Belarus.
