Barcelona, Inter Milan and PSG couldn’t do it! Plzen is the only team to score against Bayern in this year’s LM

Viktoria Plzeň has reached a milestone in this season’s Champions League that even the biggest clubs in Europe have failed to achieve. They were the only team to score a goal against Bayern Munich.

Viktoria Plzen burned out in the LM death group

When last year’s Fortuna League champion Viktoria Plzen took on a trio of European giants in the group stage of the Champions League, no major success was expected. Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Barcelona were really no match for Plzen.

So no one was too surprised when the Czech champion failed to gain a point in the group of death and finished in last place. After all, Pilsen’s players reached a benchmark that not a single European football giant has achieved in this season’s millionaire competition.

Bayern Munich walked away without a single stumble in the aforementioned group to take the clear first place in the group with 18 points and an all-important score of 18:2.

The fate of the eight-final was rather cruel to the Bavarian big club. However, in Munich, they didn’t make any big head of their opponent Paris Saint-Germain with the attacking trio Mbappé – Messi – Neymar.

In fact, Julian Nagelsmann’s players completely dominated the double-header with the Parisian giant and the aforementioned trio of PSG’s star players did not score once. However, it wasn’t only the stars of the Parisian side who cut their teeth on the Bavarians’ solid defence.

Yet they did what Europe’s biggest clubs have failed to do

Even within the groups, the strikers of Barcelona and Inter Milan failed to make their mark. The only team to score a Bayern goal in this year’s Champions League was Viktoria Plzen.

In October’s match at the Doosan Arena, Plzeň scored twice. Adam Vlkanova and Jan Kliment thus outperformed the star players of the aforementioned big clubs and were the only ones who managed to break Bayern’s rock-solid defence.

Even though it did not make any difference to Viktoria, it is still a really impressive achievement of the Pilsen players. On the social networks of the renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, whose Instagram account is followed by nearly 15 million fans, it is Viktoria Plzeň that shines with this feat.
