On Sunday night, two highly watched boxers faced off in the ring. On one side was youtuber Jake Paul and on the other was Tyson Fury’s younger brother, Tommy Fury. In the end, the English boxer from the famous family was the winner. However, it seems that the whole situation between the two is still unresolved and John Fury got involved.
Tommy Fury defeated Jake Paul in eight rounds only after a judges’ decision that was not uniform. And it’s very likely that we’ll see a rematch because Paul’s team had a no-loss clause in their contract.
But to Tommy’s father, it’s a different matter altogether. John Fury set up a Twitter account, his son said, after requests from the public. And he immediately lashed out at the American star in a video.
The whole situation is an all-or-nothing pre-match bet. In the video, he says Jake Paul owes his family money. And I’ll say it again. You lost the fight. We had a deal in front of millions of fans and I expect you to live up to it, ” John Fury said.
The 50-8-year-old head of the Fury family alluded to a moment that happened during a pre-fight conference in Saudi Arabia. During the conference, Jake suggested that the winner would get all the money.
The two fighters even shook hands in agreement to this proposal. But the catch is that there was never an official signing of the printed document.
Still, John Fury believes Paul should keep his word and pay his son all the money. Do you think Jake, known as “Problem Child”, will actually do it?
