Twenty-one-year-old Czech stopper David Zima made his first appearance for Turin FC and helped them to a 0-0 draw at home against AC Milan. Thanks to this, Torino are playing a quiet midfield and do not have to worry about relegation.
David Zima has been struggling lately. After the defeat against Udinese in February, he stopped playing in the starting line-up.
The twenty-one year old stopper then played 20 minutes against Venice on 12 February, against whom Torino lost at home, which was his last game for a long time.
He subsequently did not feature in any of the five subsequent league games and only got his chance on the pitch at the national team meeting, playing full minutes against both Sweden and Wales.
However, in the league clash with Salernitana, he sat on the bench again. The coaching staff only gave him a chance now, he started in the starting line-up against AC Milan on Sunday,
And it was a good match, Zima was in the starting line-up, played 62 minutes and thanks to him the Turin club got a point for the 0:0 draw.
So the question is whether he will get the opportunities he used to get. In the 33rd round, Torino will travel to Rome to take on Lazio, who are fighting for the sixth place in the league.
