In Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Slavia won a 3:3 draw with Feyenoord. Tomáš Holeš, who started the match as a defensive midfielder, was also present at this important result. What did he say after the draw?
“It was a fierce match. We were losing, we were leading, we were losing… And in the end it ended in a draw. But I really enjoyed the game. It was a great atmosphere, one of the best I’ve ever experienced. You could hear our fans.
I’m glad we managed to equalise because we didn’t deserve to lose. Itwill be decided at home,” said Tomas Holeš in an interview for the club website.
At the beginning of the match, the Slavs remembered the autumn duel at the same stadium, as the home team quickly took the lead and increased their pressure.
However, the final result of 3:3 is perhaps well deserved. Slavia picked up their game especially in the second half and if it wasn’t for an unnecessary mistake by the wall and the goalkeeper, they might not have got the third goal.
But even such moments can be a source of pure joy, as Traoré equalised in the end. “We immediately jumped off the bench and celebrated. Goals in the last minute are beautiful, especially when they mean an important result for the rematch,” he added.
The Sixers can have a great experience in a week’s time. On Thursday at 9pm they play a rematch and if they win, they will be the first Czech team to advance to the semi-finals of the European competition.
“It is still true that the final is a dream, now we are a little closer to it, but we still have a tough game ahead of us. Probably not the most important one, but definitely one of the most important ones.
But I don’t see it as the match of my life, there have been a lot of matches and I see it as another opportunity to reach a benchmark that I haven’t reached yet,” he concluded.
