Manchester United player Anthony Martial is unhappy at the club and would like to move elsewhere. He has met with new coach Ralf Rangnick about leaving the club, with whom he had a long debate.
Frenchman Anthony Martial has been at Manchester United since 2015. He moved here from Monaco for £58 million. His current contract runs until 2024, but the player would be happy if it doesn’t run out and he can move elsewhere.
Ralf Rangnick and Anthony Martial got together and had a long conversation about the whole situation. Martial talked about how unhappy he is at the club and why he would like to leave. Rangnick, on the other hand, explained why he wouldn’t want to lose him.
”He explained that he has been at United for seven years and would like to move on. I completely understand him, but you also need to look at the whole thing through the lens of the club. We are going through a covid period now and we are playing in three competitions where we have the highest ambitions. We need a wide squad,” said the Manchester United coach on the situation.
Even though Rangnick would like Martial to stay at the club, he does not want to hinder his career development. Thus, he agreed that if an offer comes in for the player, it will definitely not be brushed off the table and rejected.
However, there was a problem. No club is interested in Anthony Martial’s services. For now, this means that the player has to stay at the club.
Martial has played 268 games in a Manchester jersey, in which he managed to score 79 goals. With his current team, he managed to win the Europa League and the Community Shield, both trophies he won in the 2016/2017 season.
