Working with Alonso? I did most of the work in the team, complains Ocon. What did he say about the Spanish legend?

It’s no secret that Ocon and Alonso weren’t too fond of each other. They clashed on track together several times during the 2022 season, and there was even contact in the Brazilian Grand Prix sprint, which ultimately cost the Alpine team valuable points.
So the relationship between the two drivers was not ideal during the season, but even so, Ocon was disappointed by Alonso’s comments to the media.
“It’s true that I was disappointed with what Alonso said in the press, but internally he kept it to himself. I still respect him, but it’s good that he’s going to Aston Martin and that we all go our own way, ” Ocon said in an interview with Quest France.
Yes, it is true that Alonso is a very experienced driver and still one of the best in Formula 1. But on the other hand, every time, no matter what the engagement is, it raises tensions within the team, which is then split in two.
It should be noted, Ocon finished eighth in the final drivers’ championship standings this year with 92 points ahead of Alonso.
the 41-year-old legend collected 81 points. Alpine then won the battle for fourth position against McLaren in the Constructors’ Cup, taking out 173 points overall this year.
I was the one who worked hard in the team!
According to the above interview, Ocon reportedly took over most of the workload, including the simulator hours. That’s something Alonso notoriously doesn’t use.
“Honestly, I did 98% of the work and he did 2%. I was overworked. I did all the development work in the simulator and I also did the marketing,” Ocon added on the subject of working with Alonso.
