Wonderful! Jõao Felix hits a beautiful header in flight against Manchester United
The question was who would open the scoring in Atlético Madrid’s match against Manchester United. Cristiano Ronaldo? Luis Suárez or Antoine Griezmann? However, Diego Simeone left both of them on the bench, leaving another Portuguese, João Felix, to be the first to score. And he did it magnificently.

João Felix is having a difficult season. Antoine Griezmann, Luis Suárez, Ángel Correa and Matheus Cunha are often preferred in attack.
The Portuguese super talent is not even at his best, with a 4+4 record at the end of February and he has already played 24 games. His performances are not bad at all and his quality is evident every time he comes on.
He claimed a place in the starting line-up for the Champions League semi-final against Manchester United at the weekend, when he led the win over Osasuna with one goal and one assist. Against the Red Devils, he started in attack alongside Correa, giving him priority over both Griezmann and Suárez.
And he repaid Simeone’s trust after just seven minutes of the match. After a corner kick, the ball rebounded to Renan Lodi, the Atlético left-back sent a wonderful centre behind the Manchester United defence, where captain Harry Maguire fell asleep. Unguarded by anyone, Felix then hung in the air and literally in flight, he headed the ball which deflected off De Gea’s bar and into the net.
