The first spring round of the women’s first football league is over and we didn’t get any surprises on the leading positions. However, the only one in the 12th round was scored by the players of Baník Ostrava, who drew with Liberec and scored only for the second time in the season.

Fans of women’s football had to wait more than three months for the return of the top competition. Now the 1st Women’s League is back and the teams played their matches in the 12th round over the weekend.

The first match of the spring was the duel between the hopelessly last Baník Ostrava and Slovan Liberec, who surprised Slavia at home in December and won 2:1.

Slovan was the favourite in Ostrava, but Baník had only three points before this match. However, its players managed to take the lead thanks to a goal by Kateřina Vojtková.

Slowly it looked like a big surprise, but Tereza Černá from Liberec equalized in the 78th minute to make it 1-1. Nothing has changed in the positions of both teams, Baník is last with a four-point loss to Dukla, Slovan is still fourth and Slovácko is three points behind the third-placed Slovácko.

The second match was played between Sparta and Viktoria Plzeň. The leading team of the league did not want to allow any hesitation and as expected confirmed the role of a big favourite.

Mariana Jaleca scored twice in the first half, followed by Aneta Dědinová. Klára Cvrčková adjusted the score to 4:2 in the second half.

On Sunday, the second Slavia challenged the third Slovácko at home and the fans were definitely not bored. Petra Divišová scored in the sixth minute, but Jana Žufánková quickly responded.

Franny Černá sent Slavia into the lead in the 20th minute, Martina Šurnovská then increased the lead. However, Žufánková reduced the score before the end of the first half.

An interesting match ended with Slavia winning 4:2, when American Haleigh Kae Stackpole increased the lead five minutes before the end of the match.

The last game was played at Dukla, who managed to win for the second time this season. Lokomitivu Brno defeated Lokomotiva Brno 2:0 after goals by Nicole Holečková and Pavlína Hrobská, which brought the Dukla players within a point of Lokomotiva.
