The Women’s Football League has finished the regular season and the extra time will come in mid-April. This weekend we saw at least two games.
However, not in the league, but in the cup. Two semi-final matches were played from 14:00, between Slovácko and Sparta and Slavia and Viktoria.
The Spartans, in high spirits after the winning derby, travelled to Uherské Hradiště, more precisely to nearby Kunovice, where it was certain that no easy victory awaited them.
The Slovácko players are no pushover, after all they beat Zlín 12:0 and Hradec Králové 4:0. However, they were not enough for Sparta after an evenly matched duel, losing 0::1.
Lucie Martínková, who assisted Lauren Chang’s winning goal in the derby a week ago, scored the only goal of the match in the 82nd minute.
The Slavs had a more attractive opponent, Viktoria Plzeň, who lost to Slovan Liberec in their last league match 1:6.
The visiting players took away the tennis canary this time as well. The goals were scored by Martina Šurnovská, Tereza Szewieczková, Franny Černá, Tereza Kožárová, Tamara Morávková and Channing Fosterová.
In the cup final we will see another derby between Sparta and Slavia. There will be a lot of these duels in the near future, as two more of them will be played in the extra league.
