Women’s football: the Czechs beat Morocco in the preparation, the match was decided by Szewieczková

The team of coach Karel Rada has played the opening friendly match of the current national team block. Votíková and her team took on Morocco, which ended with a pleasant 2:0 thanks to two goals by Tereza Szewieczková.

The Czech footballers were scheduled to face the Moroccan and Austrian players in the national team meeting. The first match is already over and has a successful end. In Chomutov the Czechs managed to win 2::0.

Barbora Votíková was not missing in the line-up after a long break and she prevented a promising opportunity for the visitors at the start of the match.

Tereza Szewieczková from Prague Slavia was active in the match, she hit the bar with a shot from distance in the 26th minute, her chance from the 39th minute ended up over the goal.

However, the twenty-four year old player was happy in the first half when she finished off a shot by Alena Pěčková at the end of the first 45 minutes.

The score could have changed shortly after the return from the locker room, but Aneta Pochmanová failed to direct the ball more accurately from close range.

The second goal of the match was scored in the 73rd minute, when Szewieczková again scored, this time with a shot from behind the net.

In the end, Michaela Khýrová could have increased the victory, but her shot on the line was blocked by the African players.

“From my point of view it was a match as expected. The first half we weren’t so good at getting into the opposition, we lacked precision, quicker play up top and turning the game.

After the break we created more chances and could have increased the score. But the result 2: 0 is great, two goals from Szewi, so we are satisfied,” said coach Rada to the national team website after the match.
