For Milos Raonic, Wimbledon is very special. He achieved his greatest Grand Slam success here at the All England Club.
In 2016, he reached the final, where he was only unbeaten by home champion Andy Murray.
The reason for his absence is persistent health complications. This time he has trouble with a calf injury, which he did not manage to heal in time.
The recovery didn’t go as fast as he expected and he didn’t have time to prepare for the third Grand Slam of the season.
His return to the courts is estimated for the autumn part of the season.
the 30-year-old Canadian has been ranked third in the world in the past and has 8 tournament titles to his credit. He is currently ranked 18th in the rankings.
