Williams unveils the new car for the 2023 season! No big changes, but it looks beautiful

Williams Racing is the third team in Formula 1, after Haas and Red Bull, to unveil a new look for its monocoque for the upcoming season. In terms of livery, Williams’ cars have not seen a significant change, but the British stable will go into the 2023 season with a large number of changes.

Williams on Monday afternoon unveiled the look of its new monoposts for the 2023 season, making it the third team to unveil new colouring for its cars.

It should be noted, Williams’ monoposts have not undergone any significant changes, except for the logo of the new sponsor – Gulf Oil.

Williams also welcomes its new main sponsor on its website, continuing the team’s transformation journey with this move. And it is evidence of a new era of commercial investment in Williams Racing since its acquisition by Dorilton Capital.

“It signifies the strength of our brand and business proposition as we continue our transformation.

Williams will also go into the new season with a revised driver line-up. Alexander Albon, who returned to the queen of motorsport for last season after a one-year hiatus, remains the team’s number one driver.

The Thai racer scored four points last year and finished nineteenth in the Drivers’ Championship. His teammate Nicholas Latifi was right behind him with two points. However, the Canadian driver will not continue at Williams.

His place has been taken by the talented American Logan Sargeant, who was named the best rookie of last season, finishing second in the Drivers’ Championship with 148 points.

Williams also has a new team boss. After Jost Capito, James Vowles, who joined from Mercedes, will take over the team’s helm.
