Will we see an interesting match? Chimaev offered Procházka a date for a mutual sparring session after a verbal shootout
Khamzat Chimaev has been quite vocal in recent days. He tried to stir up the UFC waters and among other things he took a dig at Jiri Prochazka. The latter responded to him, whereupon Chimaev set a date when he would like to fight him.
Khamzat Chimaev has been quite vocal in recent days. He tried to stir up the UFC waters and among other things he took a dig at Jiri Prochazka. The latter responded to him, whereupon Chimaev set a date when he would like to fight him.
Jiri Prochazka has long been known as a quiet fighter who doesn’t like to respond to any challenges. However, he changed slightly during his injury and responded to Khamzati Chimaev, who took him on.
“Jiri Prochazka talked about me, but I beat that fighter in sparring. My manager has a video of when he went down. I guess he forgot there were cameras in the gym. But I won’t publish it,” Chimaev said on the MMA Hour.
“Who still feels the need to talk over and over again about events that happened four years ago? About information from the gym? Man, the next time we meet in the cage, I’ll show you my true power. I won’t take it lightly anymore,” Procházka replied on Instagram.
And those words apparently gave Chimaev a big lift. So he decided to offer Procházka a date during which they could confirm their qualities in the cage.
“See you soon, boy. Let’s have a go in Sweden. I suggest June or July,” he wrote to Procházka in private messages, posting everything on his stories.
Is it realistic that such a game would happen on that date? No way! In fact, you could say it’s out of the question, as Procházka has a title fight promised upon his return.
He and his team certainly won’t want to take any chances and won’t go with Chimaev first. The Swede will just have to wait for a fight with Prochazka if he’s really serious.
