Will the Czech Republic soon reign supreme in women’s tennis? Ranking of women players under 18 raises high hopes

Linda Fruhvirt has been breaking into the tennis world in recent weeks. Linda Fruhvirt has been breaking into the tennis world in recent weeks. Still only 16 years old, the tennis player has been doing great especially in Miami, and now she is trying to make a name for herself at the tournament in Charleston. However, she is far from being the only promising Czech Republic player in the world rankings of tennis players under 18.

The Czech Republic’s Linda Fruhvirtova is currently the best tennis hope, if we count the U18 players. She will celebrate her 17th birthday in May, but has already managed to beat stars like Elise Mertens and Victoria Azarenka.

It is not surprising that as the 166th player on the WTA rankings, she dominates the ranking of the best tennis players under 18. She also leapfrogged Andorra’s Victoria JImenez Kasintseva.

In addition to Linda Fruhvirtova, however, there are four other tennis players from the Czech Republic in the top ten of the best tennis players under 18.

The third place is occupied by the 17-year-old Linda Noskova (182nd in the WTA ranking), the fifth place is held by the newly 16-year-old Sara Bejlek (329th in the WTA ranking) and right behind her is only 15-year-old Brenda Fruhvirtová (376th in the WTA ranking), Linda’s younger sister.

The ninth position is then held by the freshly 16-year-old Nikola Bartunkova (411th in the WTA rankings).

However, we have two more representatives in the top 30. Namely, 17-year-old tennis players Dominika Šálková (18th in the U18 ranking) and Lucie Havlíčková (29th).

So it seems that we do not have to worry about women’s tennis in the near future. Barbara Krejcikova, Karolina Pliskova, Karolina Muchova, Petra Kvitova and Marketa Vondrousova will soon be joined by other great hopes.
