Will Rafael Nadal add another domestic title to his collection?

The ATP Tour 500 tennis tournament in Barcelona starts on Monday. The biggest favourite will of course be the home player Rafael Nadal.

Rafael Nadal has already dominated the Barcelona Open Banco Sabadell eleven times during his illustrious career (2005-09, 2011-13, 2016-18). That’s more than any other tennis player.

No wonder, as the thirty-four-year-old Spaniard has already won 60 clay tournaments. He has a record of 447 wins and only 41 losses on his favourite surface.

Of course, he will be the biggest favourite in the tournament now. This is despite the fact that he already crashed out in the quarter-finals against Andrey Rublev in Monte Carlo.

However, in his previous duels with Delbonis and Dimitrov he lost only five games.

In addition to Nadal, Rublev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Diego Schwartzman and Roberto Bautista-Agut will also play in Catalonia. The dark horse could be the young Italian Jannik Sinner.
