Will Pochettino really be the new Manchester United coach? The club has reportedly already started communicating with him

Mauricio Pochettino to Manchester United and Zinédine Zidane to PSG. This is pretty much the most likely version of what the days and weeks ahead could bring. After all, Manchester United can’t be without a new coach for long and Pochettino seems to be the most ideal option of the currently available managers.

It should be noted, Pochettino’s arrival would also open the door for Zidane to take over the Paris Saint-Germain A-team. The former Tottenham manager will face a tough Champions League match today, November 24, at Manchester City.

Former Aston Villa striker, Gabriel Agbonlahor, had the following to say on the subject of Pochettino joining the Red Devils.

“They have to find a manager who has nothing to do with the club. They need to get away from the Solskjaer thing at the moment,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.

“I think Pochettino would do a good job. But he still has a lot to prove as a manager. He did well with Spurs, but he didn’t win anything there. I don’t think he is the best choice for Manchester United, but they are obviously very interested in him,” he explained.

He also adds that it could suit both parties. PSG would get a coach who has a lot of experience from Real Madrid and Pochettino would not be under so much pressure in Manchester, even though the Red Devils are as they are.

After all, if the Argentine coach does not dominate the Champions League with the Parisian outfit this year, which is the main goal of the Qatari owners, he would very likely be sacked and replaced by Zidane.

However, the current PSG manager is happy in Paris and knows the environment very well. In fact, he has already worked at the club as a player, specifically between 2001 and 2003, before eventually moving to Girondins Bordeaux.

Agbonlahor and Football Insider, however, see it quite clearly. What about you? Are you in favour of Mauricio Pochettino moving to England?
