Tomáš Pekhart was supposed to be Legia’s main weapon against Slavia in Eden, but in the end he only watched the game from the stands after being injured during the warm-up. What is his situation for the rematch? And is his departure from Poland possible?

Tomas Pekhart became the top scorer in the Polish Ekstraklasa last season, netting 22 goals. At the start of this season, however, his possible transfer was discussed, so he did not feature in the starting line-up in the European Cups.

However, he was supposed to start against Slavia in Eden. During the warm-up, however, the Czech international was stepped on by a teammate, causing a sprained ankle. Pekhart limped off and watched the Europa League play-offs only from the stands.

Legia postponed their league game this weekend to concentrate on the rematch against Slavia. This came in handy for Pekhart, who regenerated his sore ankle over the weekend and joined the Polish champions’ training on Monday.

Pekhart’s start in the rematch is not only threatened by his health. According to Polish media, he has offers from Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

According to the renowned Transfermarkt website, the 32-year-old striker is worth €1.50 million, while Legia is reportedly looking at €2 million.
