Will Ngadeu leave Ghent? Former Slavistik stopper reportedly trying to get out of contract, could head to China
Cameroonian stopper Michael Ngadeu, who previously played for Slavia Prague, could leave Belgian side KAA Gent. He is currently reportedly looking for ways to get out of his current contract and could leave for China. However, this is not good news for the currently fourth-placed team in the Jupiler Pro League, as Beijing Guoan are interested in the services of their defender.

Michael Ngadeu has played a total of 112 games for Slavia Prague across all competitions. However, he left the Prague club in the summer of 2019 and headed to Belgian side Ghent, who sent around €4.5 million for him to the Seychellois.
This is despite the fact that he agreed on the terms of a new contract with Slavia at the time. However, the Cameroonian stopper preferred the Jupiler Pro League, and he has played 170 games for Gent so far, in which he has scored ten goals and four assists.
The Cameroon international has been happy at Gent, both footballingly and in life, but it now looks like he could leave the Belgian outfit.
The club has been in financial difficulties recently and this, of course, also affects the signing of new contracts.
Although in the case of Ngade, Gent are desperate to keep the experienced defender. And no wonder. The club is currently in fourth place in the table, a position it will certainly want to maintain.
However, according to recent information published by Belgian website Voetballbelgie, he would have to take a significant pay cut.
Turkish side Antalyaspor have expressed interest in the services of the Cameroon international, who won the AFCON with his country in 2017. The latter is currently in the middle of the league table with 28 points.
In any case, Belgian daily Het Nieuwsblad reported that Ngadeu could head to China. Specifically, Beijing Guoan would like to sign him. The 32-year-old Cameroonian is reportedly looking for ways to get out of his expiring contract, Gent could earn a maximum of one million euros on his departure, plus the amount of the contract buyout.
Moreover, Ngadeu is the only one of the four defenders who is 100 percent healthy and his departure could negatively affect the end of the season.
