It’s been more than three years since they parted ways. But soon they could be reunited. Lionel Messi could have another teammate at Inter Miami with whom he shares a past and a camaraderie.

His arrival overseas has caused a huge boom. In addition to the fan craze, Lionel Messi has also managed to elevate his team’s performance. But even with his health problems, Inter Miami couldn’t make the playoffs

Nevertheless, he won the first ever trophy in the club’s history with the team, he showed character in accepting the trophy and the fans in Florida in particular are looking forward to the new season.

The Argentine already has Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, with whom he played for many years in Barcelona, on his team. However, there has been speculation for some time about the arrival of Andrés Iniesta or Luis Suárez.

What will happen with Iniesta, that is the question. But the possible arrival of Suárez now seems more real than ever. Indeed, Inter Miami have taken major steps that could make this transfer possible.

Will Messi play with Suárez again?

Inter Miami announced on their social media that midfielder Victor Ulloa and winger Jake LaCava are parting ways with the team. But apart from that, the productive striker Josef Martínez, who was the club’s top scorer in the season, will also leave the team.

The decision to release Martínez may be the deciding factor. According to Goal, the salary cap is expected to release around $4.4 million, which is the amount Luis Suárez currently earns at Brazilian Gremio ($4.5 million).

However, in Miami, the Uruguayan striker would have more potential to gain sponsors and partners, therefore he might not have a problem to take a discount on his basic salary from the club. Thus, Lionel Messi could see another teammate in the team.

And that Suárez would belong to the old iron? No. Even at 36, he is still productive. He played 44 competitive games for Gremio last season with a record of 18 goals and 13 assists, and he was scorching in a Uruguayan Nacional jersey. He will be a free agent from January.
