Lionel Messi has been linked with a possible move to Al-Hilal in recent days, reportedly offering a salary double that of Cristiano Ronaldo at rival Al-Nassr. But Messi reportedly has not received any offer.
It would have been an interesting and unexpected end to his career. Cristiano Ronaldo has already left the European battlefields and will now wear the jersey of Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr.
He has been given an unimaginable contract, the highest in football history. Al-Nassr will send him $75 million a year, just for his performances on the pitch. Including advertising and everything else, Ronaldo will earn $200 million a year.
If your eyes have glazed over, believe me, it’s not over. The rival of Ronaldo’s new club, Al Hilal, wanted to trump his rival and bring Lionel Messi, whose contract with PSG expires in the summer, into their squad.
The Saudi Arabian club was reportedly offering Messi a contract double that of Cristiano Ronaldo at the moment.
However, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano comes with the information that Messi is not going to Al Hilal as he has not even received any offer. On the contrary, he is in Paris negotiating a contract extension which expires this June.
Messi’s original plan was to play 2 years in Paris and then head to the MLS, but during the great season he is currently having, he was supposed to change his mind and stay in Europe for a while longer.
