Will Manchester United have a new owner? A lifelong fan of the club is ready if the Glazers agree to sell
Manchester United have struggled in recent years. Coaches have changed, players have changed, but there has been no return to the success that Sir Alex Ferguson had with the team. Increasingly, then, the fans’ anger towards the Red Devils’ owners is growing. Now, however, there is talk of a saviour to replace them.

“Glazers Out” – a message that’s not missed at any game
It was 2003 when the Glazers bought their first stock. By 2005, however, they were in full control of Manchester United. In all that time, they hadn’t gained a shred of popularity. All they’ve done is suck the club dry and go into debt.
At virtually all home games, banners can be seen saying “Glazers Out”. Last May, demonstrators ran onto the pitch and tried to get into the dressing rooms. Manchester United play Liverpool on Monday and the stands are expected to be somewhat emptier.
Has a saviour been found?
Two sources independently report that a potential saviour has been found. The Times and Goal have reported that lifelong Manchester United fan Sir Jim Ratcliffe is interested.
There is increasing talk in America that Glazer is considering selling his stake in the club due to mounting criticism. And if that happens, Ratcliffe is said to be prepared to make the investment.
Ratcliffe is a billionaire who owns the chemical company INEOS. He is one of the richest men in the UK. According to the English media, he has the means to end the Glazer government.
The value of INEOS is estimated at £13 billion. He also sought to buy Chelsea, but was late with his bid. Moreover, he already owns French Nice.
How much would it cost?
Manchester United is valued at around £6 billion according to various sources. Converted into crowns, this is approximately 175 billion.
Chelsea, for example, which was sold for a record value in May, cost Todd Boehly £2.5 billion, with the deal calling for an investment in the club of £1.75 billion over 10 years.
But the Red Devils are a bigger brand after all, they have a bigger stadium anyway, and unlike Roman Abramovich, Chelsea’s long-time boss, the Glazers are under no political pressure to sell in haste. On the contrary, they could demand an even higher sum.
