Will James Rodriguez leave Everton? A move to Milan is on the cards

AC Milan have lost Hakan Calhanoglu and must look for a replacement. And he might just find one at Everton.

Hakan Calhanoglu was one of the important figures in AC Milan’s successful season, however the club refused to agree to his high wage demands and so failed to extend his contract.

The Rossoneri must therefore look for a replacement and there is a name in the game that could definitely replace Calhanoglu fully.

Il Corriere dello Sport claim that Portuguese agent Jorge Mendes has suggested to the Italian big club that James Rodriguez should replace Calhanoglo.

The Colombian only went to Everton because of coach Carlo Ancelloti, but he has left to coach Real Madrid and Rodriguez has little reason to stay at Liverpool.

Moreover, he is only under contract until the summer of 2022 with an option to extend for one more year.

However, it can be expected that Everton will not want to keep a disgruntled star in their squad and AC Milan could be in a good negotiating position, which might not make the transfer sum too high.
