The summer transfer period reopens the question of where Norwegian footballer Erling Haaland will be next season. Famous clubs from all over Europe are clamouring for the 20-year-old goalscorer, who scored 41 goals in the same number of games last season across competitions. According to foreign media, Chelsea have now shown serious interest. But Haaland is under contract at Dortmund until the summer of 2024 and Borussia representatives reportedly value their gem at £170 million.

Reports in Norway claim that despite Haaland’s high value, which is likely to exceed more than £150 million, Chelsea are working hard to bring the Norwegian to Stamford Bridge.

According to the British media, the Londoners are very keen on Haaland and would reportedly sacrifice the chance to snare England national team captain Harry Kane into their ranks for his arrival.

However, there is one catch and that is the astronomical amount of money the Germans are demanding for their unbeatable cannonballer of the roster.

Chelsea’s management would therefore like to send England striker Tammy Abraham in the other direction as part of the transfer.

Haaland’s contract at Borussia is valid until 2024. However, a clause is due to come into force as early as 2022, allowing rich clubs to cash in on the Norwegian sniper from Dortmund immediately. Its exact amount, however, is subject to speculation.

Haaland’s salary is also high, which the well-known Italian agent Mino Raiola is expected to demand for the Norwegian striker at his future destination. According to the Daily Mail, £300,000 a week should flow from the club’s coffers to Haaland’s new employer.
