Will Duda leave Cologne? I want to keep him in the team, says coach
2 league games and 48 minutes – that’s the overall record of the Slovakian offensive midfielder in this league season. Compared to the last one, he has a small role in the team so far. And that’s why the transfer speculations came up.
2 league games and 48 minutes – that’s the overall record of the Slovakian offensive midfielder in this league season. Compared to the last one, he has a small role in the team so far. And that’s why the transfer speculations came up.
Ondrej Duda, a top technician who contributed to Koln’s rescue last season with seven goals and four assists, is not as big a mainstay of the team as expected at the moment.
Duda doesn’t fit into Steffen Baumgart’s style of play, so it’s possible he could leave the club. However, the coach wouldn’t want that. “I see Ondrej very clearly in our team here – even in the long term. I want to keep him here,” said the coach.
Duda, however, will have to adapt to a new style of play. “I see things differently than he does, how we want to play football. Ondrej has an important role to play this season,” revealed the Cologne coach.
So it will definitely be interesting to see if the coach will give him more chances in the upcoming matches, if any, but also how Duda will fare in his new style of play.
