Will Darida change his jersey after seven years? Berlin Hertha to sell out

Hertha Berlin have had a disastrous season, barely holding on to the top flight. However, they do not want to repeat that in the new season. After two rounds, they have only one point and are still planning to make changes in the squad. The departure of Vladimir Darida is also in the cards.

For a long time Hertha was the number one club in Berlin. However, after Union’s historic promotion to the Bundesliga, the situation has turned around. Union are doing a fantastic systematic job and in much more modest conditions are rolling Hertha.

But the Hertha management wants to change that. The club has a new president, a new coach and a gradual change of personnel. However, not everything is happening at once. For example, Vladimir Darida has been a key player for a long time, but last season things started to change.

Darida started to play less and less. This season, the man who arrived in Berlin in 2015 from Freiburg has only played a few minutes in three games. Hertha is no longer counting on his services. At least not in a potential new era.

According to Bild, Hertha are considering selling as many as nine players. One of them is Darida. Apart from him, they are planning to sell Krzysztof Piatek, Omar Alderete and Dedrick Boyata. This trio is costing the club a lot of money in wages.

Darida, however, does not burden the club that much. His sale is therefore not necessary. However, Hertha will listen to any offers for the Czech midfielder.

It is not clear where Darida could be heading. However, the Viktoria Plzen graduate still has a lot to offer in the Bundesliga. It is therefore not impossible that he could remain in the elite competition.
