Jordi Alba is leaving Barcelona after 11 years, it’s been known for a while. However, his new club is still unclear. The Spanish left-back can choose whether he wants to continue in Europe or go to Miami to join Messi.

At the moment, Alba is only focusing on the Nations League with Spain, however, he will soon have to address his future after his time at Barcelona.

Although Alba already celebrated his 34th birthday in the spring and lost his place in the Barcelona lineup, he will have no shortage of offers this summer.

According to the Spanish daily SPORT, Alba can easily stay in Spain. Atlético Madrid are said to be interested and are looking for a new left-back.

Reinildo Mandava is out for a long time with a torn ligament in his knee and Sergio Reguilón has also failed to convince. Another offer is reportedly from Inter Milan. The Champions League finalist is known for often targeting older, experienced players.

But there is also a third option. Inter Miami, where Alba’s former teammate Lionel Messi has just transferred, is reportedly very interested.

The MLS club has reportedly not yet made an official offer, but hopes to reach an agreement with the player’s representatives soon.

Alba has lost his place in the starting lineup over the past year, as he was pushed out of the left-back position by Alejandro Balde and often preferred to Marcos Alonso.
